Let’s face it, very few people outside of St. Louis and nobody outside of Red Sox Nation have a rooting interest in the World Series which starts Wednesday. And after the Cardinals take care of the Sawx in six games, we will all be sad until pitchers and catchers report in February. So, it’s posts like these that will have to do for now.
Fangraphs.com brilliantly put together this list of the five worst/wildest swings of this baseball season. They’re swings where non-baseball fans ask “what the heck was he doing?” They’re swings where baseball fans ask, “what the heck was he swinging at?”
They’re terrible swings and don’t come close to making contact. But you step in there one time against a filthy 90 mph slider before go at these guys too hard. Ah, whatever. These guys deserve it. These swings are horrible.
