OK, A.J. Hawk’s been discussed enough.  We get it.  The NFL frowns upon giving the crowd the finger.  And frankly I agree somewhat and he should be disciplined.  But this?

Tevin Reese of Baylor gives a thumbs down signal to the Texas A&M crowd and gets called for taunting.  Maybe the Baylor defense should have gotten the thumbs down considering the bears got crushed by Texas A&M 55-28.

But that’s besides the point.  A thumbs down?  And he gets called for taunting?  Really?  What the hell else are they going to come up with?  There’s gotta be some line drawn here eventually.  With all due respect to women, these calls are awfully “girlie” don’t you think?

That’s like putting your fingers over your mouth and giving the “shhhhh” signal and getting 15 yards for it?   I’m not sure what the rules should be but giving a thumbs down does not warrant a penalty.
