The Toronto media is reporting that off-season acquisition Tim Connolly will be ready for Thursday’s game against the Rangers in New York.
All eyes will be on Tim Connolly, who will make his Leafs debut in New York against the Rangers on Thursday.
An undisclosed upper-body injury has kept Phil Kessel’s setup man off the ice from the start of the season.
But he’s good to go now, and eager to get into the mix.
Connolly told the Globe and Mail the following:
“I’m feeling pretty good. The guys are doing a great job out there [winning games]. Games have been pretty fun for me to watch and I’m looking forward to getting back out there with them.”
Nazem Kadri may be the top candidate to be sent back down to the Marlies of the AHL, having a slow three games.
The Leafs are off to a 5-2-1 start, and with the team’s No. 1 centre, things can only get better.
Note: James Reimer will also be in action after sitting out Monday’s game against the Flyers in Philadelphia due to whiplash symptoms he suffered from a collision in a game against the Montreal Canadiens last week.
