Found January 13, 2013 on Busted Coverage:
His brother can’t start for the New York Jets, yet Peter Tebow found time to relish the troubles of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. I’m not big on the Bible and His teachings, but isn’t the above tweet unbecoming of a good Christian man? (Peter got a preaching gig in suburban Denver because of his last name.) Oh, I get it, Tim Tebow was 1-0 in the playoffs for the Broncos; Peyton is 0-1. Get it. Totally get it. Irony. LOLs. LOLz. Get it, get it, get it. But do you need a better tweet to illustrate the hypocrisy of Tebow Mania? If the Broncos secondary can even remotely play prevent a win defense, Peyton Manning is in the AFC Championship and Peter Tebow is off preaching the Bible in the Philippines. Instead, you have Peter gloating at Peyton being bounced. It’s amazing how God decides sporting events. Who would’ve ever thought that He would punish the Broncos for trading Peter Tebow’s brother? It seems if you pray enough, miracles can happen for this Tebow clan. [@petertebow] Filed under: Football

Tim Tebow’s brother Peter apologizes for gloating after Broncos lost

You better remember the last month clearly, because it’s unlikely we’ll see anything like it again. In the span of three weeks, two members of the Tebow family found themselves backtracking because of their role in controversies. Three weeks ago, it was Tim denying that he asked out of the New York Jets’ wildcat package because he was upset with the team’s coaches. This...

Ravens DL zings Peyton Manning

Ravens defensive lineman Paul Kruger took a shot at Peyton Manning on Twitter after his team beat the Broncos. See what he said.

How will Peyton Manning react to the cold weather today?

This is one of the more interesting questions as the NFL kicks off its divisional playoffs later today. Peyton Manning’s record in cold weather games hasn’t been great, and now we hear he’ll be wearing gloves for this playoff game. The Broncos are heavy favorites today as they host the Ravens, and many Ravens fans and those betters taking the points are hoping Peyton will freeze...

Westhoff says Jets' handling of Tebow was a 'mess'

Mike Westhoff, the Jets' recently retired special teams coordinator, tells a Florida radio station that the way the team handled Tim Tebow was ''an absolute mess.'' Westhoff tells WQAM in south Florida on Friday that he was ''very, very disappointed'' in the Jets' lack of use of Tebow, the popular backup quarterback acquired last March to...

The Assist: Peyton Manning & Ray Lewis share a moment following Ravens double-overtime win over the Broncos

The Ravens shocked football fans on Saturday by taking down the Denver Broncos who came out of the gate strong and from the outset looked to be setting the tone. The Ravens kept their cool and battled back in double overtime to defeat the Broncos 38-35. And while much was made about Peyton Manning’s nine [...]

Graham picks off Manning, gives Ravens lead

That was quick. On their third offensive play of the game, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning threw a pick-six to cornerback Corey Graham. Graham’s interception gave the Ravens a 14-7 lead with less than 10 minutes left in the first quarter. The interception was set up by a Chykie Brown tipped pass.

Denver can still host Super Bowl despite chilly weather

On a day where Broncos fans are depressed over their teams heartbreaking playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, there is some good news for fans hoping to see Denver host a Super Bowl. On Saturday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in Denver to personally feel the Rocky Mountain chill, and he actually liked what he felt. "My personal view is, the game of football

Divisional Saturday previews

The Ravens and Broncos will feature a bit of a chess match between Peyton Manning and Ray Lewis, two of the biggest names in the game. The night game, Green Bay at San Francisco, features quarterbacks with two very different levels of experience.

Broncos, Seahawks: Nightmare at the 31-second mark

When you think about it, 31-seconds is not a lot of time. Most commercials run about 30 seconds. “Wait a minute,” is composed of two 30-second halves. But, as we know, 31-seconds can last an eternity, just ask Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. Both teams were 31 seconds from victory and advancing to their conference championship game. But 31-seconds can be an eternity in the...

Protecting Peyton: Yes, the Denver Broncos are eliminated… but lets put the legacy talk in perspective

The morning after the Baltimore Ravens came from behind to beat the top seeded Broncos at home the discussion isn’t about Joe Flacco’s impressive run of recent playoff success; nor is it about Denver’s interesting clock management decisions that came back to haunt them, it is centered on Peyton Manning’s legacy - but disparaging the quarterback is misguided...

ZB Notebook 1-13-2013

The Divisional playoff round is one of my favorite weekends of sport all year round and this year exemplified why. The Denver/Baltimore game and the Atlanta/Seattle contest provided extreme drama. The San Francisco/Green Bay game, which is the one I was not able to watch, introduced Colin Kaepernick as perhaps the league’s next great quarterback. And the Patriots/Texans game ...
