Ross has already failed to reel in two big fish, missing on John Harbaugh and Jeff Fisher the past two offseasons, and now the Dolphins must finish executing plan B of their head coaching search, which will likely involve hiring one of the NFL’s hot, young coordinators.
Problem is there’s more competition for fewer quality head coach candidates out there, and the talent base of the competition is on par, if not superior, to what the Dolphins are offering.
Tampa Bay has what appears to be a young promising roster, which features a franchise quarterback in Josh Freeman.
I suspect that whole quarterback thing was the major reason the Dolphins lost out on Fisher to the Rams (okay, not offering Fisher complete power had a lot to do with it too).

Could the Tragic Death of Philbin’s Son Keep him from a Head Coaching Position
Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has had a rough week to say the least. Jeff Fisher Denies Agent-Rams Exec Relationship Led To His Decision
The Rams got their guy when Jeff Fisher agreed to St. Louis' new head coach last Friday, choosing the NFC West cellar-dweller over South Beach and the Miami Dolphins. A small factor in the lead up to Fisher's decision was how Rams executive vice president of football operations and COO Kevin Demoff is the son of Fisher's agent, Marvin Demoff. In this week's "...
Photo Story: ‘No Respect’ starring Joe Flacco, John Harbaugh, and special guest Rodney Dangerfield
For all of his talent as a passer, and his very good regular season and post season records during his first four years in the NFL, Joe Flacco is not generally considered to be among the upper tier of quarterbacks in the NFL.
As good as his won/loss numbers may look, Flacco’s stats suggest to many that the Ravens win in spite of him more than they win because of him, with defense...

Mike Martz Could Return To The Rams As Offensive Coordinator?
Some were pushing for Jeff Fisher to hire Mike Martz as his offensive coordinator in St. Louis. All kinds of interesting connections there. Martz Rams [he was offensive coordinator] beat Fishers Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV. Later, the two worked together as members of the competition committee. And Martz Rams and Fishers Titans held joint training camp practices. Source:...
