Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was able to fully participate in practice yesterday and is listed as probable for tonight’s contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Britt was held out of Tennessee’s Week 4 game, but he was able to return last week against the Minnesota Vikings. The inconsistent wide out is generally boom or bust for the Titans. It’s been mostly bust in 2012, as so far this season he’s caught nine passes 83 yards. While the Titans will have Britt in their lineup, quarterback Jake Locker remains sidelined due to a shoulder injury sustained during a Sept. 30 game against the Houston Texans. It’s not clear how long Locker will be out, but while he is veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck will be the Titans’ starter. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt

Kenny Britt's funny interview after game

“Aw man.”“Aw man.”We’ve seen funny press conferences and interviews before (the best being Ellis Lankster), but we’ve never seen one like this. In a short 90-second interview after last night’s Titans-Steelers game, Kenny Britt successfully started off every reply with the phrase. We can’t tell if this was the result of a locker room bet/dare or if Britt was just so...

Kenny Britt Fully Practices Tuesday

Titans receiver Kenny Britt (ankle) fully participated in practice on Tuesday, according to John Glennon of the TennesseanFantasy Spin:Britt is not a good option Thursday against the Steelers. We don't have confidence in Matt Hasselbeck's ability to complete the ball down field. Rookie Kendall Wright is a more attractive WR3 in PPR leagues.

Week 5 NFL picks and analysis

Tennessee Titans +5.5 Minnesota comes into this game SU winners the last two weeks as a 4-point and 7-point dog, over seemingly flat SF and DET teams. They also generated little offense last week, gaining just 227 total yards and producing 0 offensive TDs. Previously as favorites, they failed to cover Week 1 and 2 against JAX and IND. This week they’re favored again – by...

Upset brewing in Tennessee

The Tennessee Titans are due ladies and gentlemen. I keep hearing about the Steelers and how there offense and defense is going to shut down the Titans but let me explain something. The Pittsburgh defense is banged up, both Lamarr Woodley and Troy Polamalu will miss tonight’s game which is going to hurt the Steelers in the middle of the field. The Titans are not playing a quarterback...

Johnson added 23 yards on four catches Thursday, but he...

Blocked punt helps Titans take early 13-10 lead

Tim Shaw blocked a punt to set up Jamie Harper's 1-yard run that gave the Tennessee Titans a 13-10 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers early in the second quarter Thursday night. The Titans had been one of only two NFL teams without a rushing touchdown - the St. Louis Rams were the other - before Harper's burst on the opening play of the second quarter. Shaw set up the touchdown...

Bironas' FG gives Titans win over Steelers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Entering Thursday night's game with Pittsburgh, the Tennessee Titans were a team in disarray, teed up for a blow that could have shattered them into some kind of organizational shake-up. At least, that's what many of the wary hometown fans might have feared as boisterous Steelers fans in large numbers waved their terrible towels at LP Field prior to kickoff...

Jamie Harper scores early TD for Titans to their long term detriment

Chris Johnson has done very little to help himself, his image, or his team since his holdout to begin the 2011 season and he certainly hasn’t contributed much on the field this year, coming into tonight’s game boasting a 2.9 YPC average. He was quoted this week as saying that the Tennessee Titans needed a … Continue reading »

Steelers fan invades field during game, corralled by pink-clad security (photo)

(Photo: George Walker IV, The Tennessean) The Pittsburgh Steelers — or perhaps more accurately, the team’s fans — probably figured heading into Thursday night’s match-up with the Tennessee Titans that the somewhat underperforming squad (although the team has been devastated by injuries) would begin to turn around the season courtesy of what they reasonably envisioned [...]

Tennessee receiver Kenny Britt grabbed his first touchdown reception of the season Thursday against the Steelers, a game-tying 5-yarder in the fourth quarter.Fantasy Spin:Britt has dealt with an ankle injury recently but the receiver was able to turn in his most productive fantasy game of the season Thursday. Britt led the team in targets with 11, and Nate Washington was second with...

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans NFL Week 6 Thursday Night Football Preview

http://tasportstalk.blogspot.com/2012/08/tonight-on-60-minutesmike-wallace.html This game could be a lot better than most are willing to admit, but that is only if the Tennessee Titans show us something. Yes, this could also be abysmal to watch with Matt Hasselbeck and Chris Johnson accomplishing next to nothing this season. CJ2K has killed fantasy team owners and many are begging...

Week 6 Picks: Thursday Night Edition

Can Chris Johnson still be called CJ2K?  Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2) @ Tennessee Titans (1-4) In 2009, Chris Johnson ran for 2,006 yards, earning his current nickname CJ2K.  Every year since then, Johnson's yards per game has fallen from 125.4 in '09, to 85.3 in '10, to 65.4 last season, and so far this season has been his worst, averaging a measly 42 yards per game...

Titans 26, Steelers 23

NASHVILLE - It came down to the field goal kickers Thursday night. Pittsburgh's Shaun Suisham missed his shot at a game-winner and Tennessee's Rob Bironas didn't.
