The Detroit Red Wings are hoping to get both Todd Bertuzzi and Darren Helm back in the lineup soon. If Tuesday’s morning practice is any indication, though, neither will play Wednesday night against the Blues. #RedWings are on the ice practicing sans forward Todd Bertuzzi and center Darren Helm. Both continue to be bothered by back pain. — Detroit Red Wings (@DetroitRedWings) February 12, 2013 Both players sat out the Wings’ back-to-back wins over the weekend, against Edmonton and Los Angeles. Helm has been unable to shake his back injury, even going so far as to see a specialist last week in hopes of receiving a concrete diagnosis. Helm’s absence did open the door for Joakim Andersson to make the jump from Grand Rapids to Detroit. He centered Detroit’s fourth line against Edmonton and L.A., with Justin Abdelkader manning the middle on line No. 3. The news appears to be better on forward Mikael Samuelsson, who has played in just two games this season. He has one assist on the season.
