As the Patriots offense struggled vs. the Jets on Thursday quarterback Tom Brady had one of his worst statistical performances in some time going 19 for 39 for 185 yards and a touchdown -- the first time he completed less than half of his passes in four years. The team escaped an inferior opponent for the second-straight week and it was telling how frustrated Brady was with most of his receivers. With the exception of Julian Edelman the receivers (notably rookies Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins) struggled to make catches and run the routes Brady was expecting. Afterward Brady said he had to control himself a little better and he was asked if he was worried that showing his frustration in such visible ways could be counterproductive. “Yeah it does” he said. “I think I have to do a better job with my body language. I definitely can improve that. I wouldn't say it's a real strong point of mine right now. We'll just try to keep doing better. That's what we've ...

The Best Of Tom Brady Reacting To Patriots Dropped Passes (GIFs)

Tom Brady gets pissed when his receivers drop passes, so if you were under a rock last night or missed the Patriots ugly rained drenched victory over the Jets, then you missed some memorable faces from Tom Terrific. I’ve heard people say on several occasions that Tom Brady looks like a serial killers sometimes, and last night after his Patriots rookie receivers combined for 7 drops...

Brady: 'It just doesn't magically come together'

Tom Brady hasn’t often been through the kind of night he endured Thursday night and still won the game. The 2011 AFC championship comes to mind. But this Patriots team is a long ways from that and Brady knows it. The Patriots quarterback was 19-of-39 for just 185 yards and did throw a touchdown pass that extended his streak of games with a touchdown pass to 50. The Patriots beat...

Does Tom Brady need to calm the hell down?

Last night, Tom Brady was visibly frustrated. It was pretty understandable too, as his receivers were constantly either running the wrong routes or dropping the ball. Still, Mr. Brady was not exactly perfect himself. Barking at his young receivers that are still developing, isn't going to much for either his public image or their confidence. After the outburst in the video...

Starting Lineups: Mo Lewis Made Tom Brady

As the New England Patriots and New York Jets were combatting in a relatively boring 13-10 game last night with the Patriots prevailing, I couldn’t help but think back to 2001 and the start of the Tom Brady era. You all remember that start, right? You know, when Mo Lewis destroyed Drew Bledsoe near the […]The post Starting Lineups: Mo Lewis Made Tom Brady appeared first on The...

Tom Brady Becomes Second Quarterback in NFL History to Throw Touchdown in 50 Consecutive Games

Tom Brady has been in some rare company throughout pretty much his entire career. On Thursday, he added another achievement to his already lengthy list. With his first quarter touchdown to rookie receiver Aaron Dobson, Brady joined Saints quarterback Drew Brees as the only two quarterbacks in NFL history to throw a touchdown in 50 consecutive games. Brees set the new record last...

Patriots Receivers Set A New Low In Embarrassing Performance Against Jets

There have been quite a few horrible receivers or it’s probably more appropriately to say horrible receiving performances. But the masterpiece in poor receiver play that the Patriots receivers put together last night has to rank near the top. Tom Brady hit those guys everywhere except the bottom of their feet and they struggled mightily to make plays. The receivers Aaron Dobson...

What the Tom Brady Meltdown Means For New England Patriots

Take away Danny Amendola, Shane Vereen, and Zach Sudfeld and what do the New England Patriots have? They have an apoplectic Tom Brady. And it is amazing enough that he was able to pull out a win with so few weapons at his disposal. But add to that the deplorable conditions that all the players had to endure...And let's go back and review the losses that Brady has endured this...

Washington Redskins: 2013 Week 2 NFL Power Rankings (#20)

Robert Griffin threw 4 interceptions all last regular season. Now he has 4 interceptions in his last 2 games combined, including the playoff loss to Seattle. It’s worth noting that Tom Brady had one of the worst seasons of his career in the season after returning from his ACL tear and he had 4 months extra to recover and had no prior injury. He also wasn’t nearly as reliant on...

Let’s Talk About #SexyRexy

Chicks, I’ll admit it. I found myself catching the vapors last night. And not just because Tom Brady looked like he might slit his wrist with a Gillette razor if a receiver dropped another pass. It was that fellow, nay, that warrior on the Jets sideline, distracting me in all his slimmer, yet still fleshy glory. It was that tan hunk of man known to the masses as Rex Ryan....

New England Patriots - What were they thinking

by Bo Marchionte Watching the game unfold Thursday night it was clearly evident that the New England Patriots passing game was not up to par. Tom Brady looked as good as usual putting pinpoint precision on each pass, but it was the receivers or lack of that set the Patriots back. Josh McDaniels the Patriots Offensive Coordinator decided to throw luck at the wind - Lite...

Five Things to Know from Jets-Patriots

While waiting for their once-potent offense to click, the New England Patriots keep knocking off opponents. The NFL's top offensive team last season edged the New York Jets 13-10 on Thursday night despite getting just nine first downs. Four days earlier, they squeaked past the Buffalo Bills by two points on a field goal with 5 seconds left. Ugly wins, but wins nonetheless. ...

Last Second Decisions – Overreaction Week

A week is in the books and it’s time to absolutely freak out.  Tom Brady is horrible, time to drop him for Terrelle Pryor! Like a GOP reaction to Obama having his foot on the Oval Office desk, then the subsequent overreaction to the jokes about overreactions, there’s been a lot of drama to overreactions.  Chill out people!  It’d be like a biologist getting all angry because...
