R.A. Dickey has another quality start against the White Sox and picked up his second win of the season. It looks as if R.A, Dickey has found his momentum.  In the final game of the Chicago White Sox series, he got his second win of the season as the Toronto Blue Jays won 3-1.  ”It was a gutsy start,” said Jay’s manager, John Gibbons in the post game press conference.  I couldn’t agree more.   Dickey only gave up two hits, no earned runs, one walk, and struck out seven batters in six innings pitched.  I just wish the other pitchers in Toronto’s rotation would follow suit. J.A. Happ had a terrible start in game three, losing 7-0.  He gave up six hits, five earned runs, one walk and only struck out three batters in 5.2 innings pitched.  Gibbons, however, didn’t put all the blame on Happ, though.  ”We were over matched tonight on both sides (offensively and defensively),” said Gibbons. Chicago White Sox’s, Cole Flowers went two for four at the plate and collected three RBIs during the rout over the Blue Jays. Despite the 4-3 loss in game two, Jay’s starting pitcher Josh Johnson had a good night on the mound.  ”I thought he was terrific,” said Gibbons. Johnson gave up only four hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out eight batters in seven innings pitched.  Colby Rasmus went two for two at the plate. In game one, Mark Buehrle took to the mound.  He went 6.1 innings, giving up nine hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out three batters.  Edwin Encarncion went three for four at the plate. When asked about Jose Reye’s replacement, Munenori Kawasaki,  Gibbons had nothing, but good praise for him.  From what I’ve seen, Kawasaki has done a fairly good job.  When Reyes went down to injury, I wasn’t sure how the  Blue Jays would do without him.  After all, he was the Jay’s best offensive player when he injured his ankle. The Jays kick off a three game weekend series tonight against the New York Yankees tonight.
