LOS ANGELES - Well, Washington knows who they are going to play on Thursday at noon in the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament - the Oregon State Beavers. But more than anything else, the Huskies need to concentrate on the things that they need to do well. With that in mind, here's Kim Grinolds' thoughts on each player as they get ready to defend their regular-season crown.

Tournament Preview - Oregon State

With a solid win against WSU, Oregon State has earned the right to play Washington in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals Thursday noon at the Staples Center. The tournament game will be aired live on ROOT Sports and will be carried on 950-KJR AM. This is the first game for the Huskies as they try and go for a tourney three-peat for the first time since Arizona won three from 1988-1990.

Villanova highlights 2K Sports Classic field

Villanova, Purdue, Alabama and Oregon State will be the regional hosts for the 2012 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. PUSHED TO THE BRINK, Oregon State responded over the final six minutes in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals. Down seven, the Beavs chipped away until Ahmed Starks drilled a trey and Jared Cunningham hit a layup. Then, it was hold on time. In the end, Oregon State became the first No. 9 seed to knock off a No. 1 in Pac-12/10 tourney history, upsetting Washington 86-84.

OREGON STATE WAS red hot in the first half. Until they weren't. But when it mattered most, the Beavs were stout on both ends of the floor and hit their free throws, winning 69-64 and advancing to a showdown vs. the No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament.
