That NBA Lottery Pick:
In life, there are always decisions that determine your future and back in the year of 2000, Tracy McGrady was a free agent trying to decided between his former team, The Toronto Raptors and the Orlando Magic.
As we know, McGrady decided to go to Orlando but after all these years, it appears that McGrady is showing some regret about that decision he made nearly thirteen years ago to the Toronto Star’s Dave Feschuk:
“In hindsight, looking back, obviously I wish I had stayed in Toronto,” McGrady was saying in a recent telephone interview from his home in the Houston area. “There’s no doubt we could have contended for a championship. I think about that often. But if ‘if’ was a fifth, you know?”
“Had I been a little older and wiser and knew what was ahead of me, I would have stayed, no doubt, with those guys. But that was some of the best times of my life, man. Being with (Charles) Oakley and Kevin Willis and Antonio Davis, Muggsy (Bogues), Dell Curry, Dee Brown. Man. I still talk to a lot of those guys to this day. Because I appreciated how they looked out for me. They were all professionals.”
“At the time I’m trying to make a decision whether to stay in freezing Toronto or go home to Orlando. … I just thought it was a no-brainer. As I said, if I’d been a little older and a little wiser maybe things would have been different. … It’s definitely something I always sit back and reminisce about, thinking about Toronto and what we could have been.”
I think many Raptors fan do the same, T-Mac.

Tracy McGrady left the Toronto Raptors in free agency of 2000, signing a deal with the Orlando Magic. Now retired, McGrady looks back with regret about leaving a Raptors team that had another emerging star in Vince Carter at the time.

When Tracy McGrady retired on August 26th, the sports world seemed to notice and I had no problem with any of it. McGrady, though an elite talent, ran the risk of slipping through the cracks of history by never really becoming a winner. His legacy, Hall of Fame candidacy, and overall career are well worth the ink.
But McGrady wasn’t the only important player to hang’em...
The Toronto Raptors will bring Julyan Stone, Chris Wright and Carlos Morais into training camp.
All three players will be under camp deals.
Stone had previously agreed to a guaranteed contract with the Raptors but had a medical setback. RealGM reported on Aug. 2 that Stone remained in discussions to return to the Raptors.

I was driving past Amway Center on Tuesday after the U.S.-Mexico soccer game and noticed the arena was beginning to turn a new leaf. Or at least get some new window dressings.
Banners adorned the outside of Amway Center featuring Magic players of old and celebrating the 25th Anniversary season coming up this year. There were photos...
