BEST OF MAXIM
The entire premise of Chip Kelly’s up-tempo offense is all about offensive numbers. How many offensive snaps can be called, how quickly can the offense return to the line, and most importantly, how quickly can the offense produce points. Chip Kelly has the personnel to run the up-tempo offense […]The post Philadelphia Eagles Defense Takes the Up Tempo Out of Chip Kelly appeared...
Chip Kelly is learning the NFL rule book on the job.
The do-it-his-way coach didn't think he could use a timeout to allow a banged-up Michael Vick to stay in the game during an important moment in the Philadelphia Eagles' 33-30 loss to San Diego Chargers to Sunday.
Upon further review, Kelly learned he was wrong.
''That's on me. I didn't think we could...
The Bolts did everything but finish in Week 1 against the Houston Texans. They look to make amends on the road as they face Chip Kelly and his fast-paced Eagles. Join this in-game discussion to converse with other Bolts Backers as San Diego goes for the win in Philadelphia.
I am livid. Hot. Sweating like Nate Allen charged with making a tackle. What a total mess of a game that was. Since the defense (in my opinion) is largely responsible for that debacle, they will get the majority of the mentions in this post – not an enviable position, I assure you. So, without further ado, this week’s Off The Top.
They Are Who We Thought They Were
Yes, I had...
Two weeks into the Chip Kelly era, Eagles QB Michael Vick looks like an elite fantasy option.Fantasy Spin:Vick threw for 428 yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-37 passing and rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Chargers. Vick has six total touchdowns and zero picks over the first two games. He's a must-start in all leagues right now but it would be wise to shop...
Once the ceremonies are over and the whistle blows on Thursday Night Football in Philly, no one will really give much thought to Andy Reid or Donovan McNabb.
It is going to be about Vick and the Chippah, and how they can hold serve against Kansas City's stingy defense.
Brandon Flowers may be out for the Chiefs in their defensive secondary, but they are still bringing...
The Kansas City Chiefs don't have a whole lot of time to enjoy their winning start with a game against the Philadelphia Eagles looming Thursday night.
The Chiefs pushed their record to 2-0 with a 17-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, matching their victory total from all of last year. But by the time most fans were reliving the win on their recliners, the Chiefs&...
By Michael QuinnCold, Hard Football Facts Scoreability Champ (@pjbleedsgreen)The Dumbest Team in Football in 2012 has made great strides forward through two weeks of the new NFL season. However, many of the same old problems that plagued lame duck Andy Reid's Philadelphia Eagles in 2012 reared their ugly faces again under Chip Kelly, most notably in the team's shocking...
The San Diego Chargers looked more like Chip Kelly's Eagles on Philly's turf.
Philip Rivers threw three touchdown passes to Eddie Royal, and Nick Novak kicked a 46-yard field goal with 7 seconds left to lead the Chargers past Philadelphia 33-30 on Sunday, spoiling Kelly's home debut.
Michael Vick threw for a career-best 428 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score...
Michael Vick Is Perfect For This Offense. This week was more confirmation than new information that Michael Vick can flourish in Chip Kelly’s offense. Vick looks very comfortable in the pocket and consistently has plenty of time to find his receivers, who are usually wide open. He also seems to be making more intelligent decisions when running with the ball. On a couple of plays...
The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be well situated with Michael Vick running Chip Kelly’s offense, but a report says they had their eye on a few other emerging quarterbacks prior to last season. According to Pro Football Talk, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Eagles were in talks with the San Francisco 49ers prior to […]
