A pair of Arkansas freshman baseball players were arrested in Fayetteville on Sunday after trying to steal two cases of beer and sandwiches from the local Walmart Supercenter.Colin Poche, 19, and Adam Meyer, 19, were booked into the Washington COunty jail shortly after the incident and charged with shoplifting. The two have since been released on a $565 bond.From 4029:Brandon Meredith, one of the store's loss prevention officers, told police he saw Poche conceal two cases of beer in a tote bag in their shopping cart on the alcohol aisle.Merideth said he saw the suspects remove the price labels from their sandwiches and then leave the store without paying for the items. Poche and Meyer were confronted by Meredith and another loss prevention officer outside the store. The stolen items were recovered before they were taken to jail.Both have hearings scheduled for Wednesday.Both are left-handed pitchers for the Razorbacks, and both apparently have a hankering for cold brew. Oh, and cold cuts too.
