T.Y. Hilton’s impressive 75-yard punt return went right up the middle of the field. A pair of quick juke-moves sent him on his way to the end zone. Hilton’s score was the first of the game.  Just two minutes in to the second quarter Hilton longed to work his punt-return magic a second time. He returned a Buffalo punt 15 yards before being spun to the ground by a defender. He was then struck in the back of the head by a second defender who had already lowered his frame to tackle Hilton.Hilton was shaken up, and left the game. No sooner then he left Hilton was the recipient of Andrew Luck’s only touchdown pass. It was an 8-yard slant in the third quarter that put Hilton’s name in the record books, and gave the Colts the 20 points they would need to defeat the Bills. The Colts maintained their exceptional third down efficiency as they went 50% on the day (8 for 16.)The Colts were, however, forced to punt the ball five times.Drives were not pretty on Sunday. When they did make it down the field, they couldn’t finish. The Colts went one-for-three in the red zone.Pressure in the pocket is largely to blame for the shaky offensive performance. Mario Williams racked up three sacks and reminded skeptics everywhere that he is still Mario Williams. Marcell Dareus added a sack of his own, bringing the Bills’ total to four.  Indianapolis was able to accumulate two sacks of their own; one via Robert Mathis, the other courtesy of rookie line backer Jerrell Freeman. Ryan Fitzpatrick was largely ineffective as he completed 17 passes for just 180 yards.C.J. Spiller however, wouldn’t be stopped. He rushed the ball 14 times for 107 yards. Much like other defenses the young back has encountered, the Colts struggled to put the brakes on Spiller. Tom Zbikowski nabbed an interception, only to fumble it on the ensuing effort-packed attempt at a pick-six. Stevie Johnson caught up to Zbikowski and punched the ball out with authority.Zbikowski’s play is a microcosm of the entire game. Neither team was able to gain any ground. Offense and defense all but cancelled one another out in this one.In a game that quickly turned into an ugly defensive slug fest, Hilton was the difference.
