What could possibly make “UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II” any more exciting? Oh, that’s right. Silly me.
The Gambling Gods have only released betting lines for three of Saturday’s fights thus far, but at least they managed to get the odds for Anderson Silva’s (Pictured) rematch with Chael Sonnen on the boards.
Silva enters the sequel as nearly a 3-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his title against his bitter rival. Sonnen, despite dominating the Brazilian for most of their initial meeting prior to getting submitted at the 11th hour, checks in as more than a 2-to-1 underdog.
“UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II” takes place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Chael Sonnen may be a big talker who runs his mouth for attention, but he also cuts through the b.s. sometimes and gets straight to the truth.
During an interview with the LA Times, Sonnen was asked how he can have so many losses and still be a title contender. His answer outlined a stark contrast between boxing and MMA.
“If I was a bully or a coward, I could’ve been undefeated...
After swapping out UFC 148‘s co-featured attraction in favor of the trilogy between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin, the Ultimate Fighting Championship hasn’t had the opportunity to officially release the new event poster for this Saturday’s extravaganza. No worries, because The People’s Cecil has conjured up a new billboard on the UFC’s behalf, and Chael P. Sonnen has wholeheartedly...
As the old adage goes, “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Or better yet, as George W. Bush once brilliantly said, “There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — [pause] — shame on you. Fool me — [pause] — You can’t get fooled again.”
