Tom Brady. UGG Boots. The saga continues.
UGG Australia -- a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation -- recently announced a new integrated UGG for Men campaign for the holiday season. The campaign features UGG endorser and Patriots QB Tom Brady and is entitled "Pink Slip". The Pink Slip campaign, which began last week, will include runs on television, print, digital display and various social media channels.
The campaign, which re-creates the idea of a football rookie dreading receiving a pink slip (being cut from the team's roster) was produced by M&C Saatchi Los Angeles and directed by the Guard Brothers. It features Brady in a completely unscripted moment, as the entire scene is actually based on an authentic moment -- with Brady providing the teammate with a pair of UGG for Men "Ascot" slippers.
“The concept behind the ‘Pink Slip’ comes from an authentic tradition that Tom had even before working with UGG,” says Connie Rishwain, President, UGG Australia. “What better way to highlight this moment through the holidays, tying it into the themes of teamwork and thanksgiving.”
The Pink Slip television spot premiered last week on ESPN and its family of networks, while digital portions of the campaign will run on CBS.com, NFL.com and other fashion and media based websites.
