The most frutsrtating thing for me about the Ian Snell situation isn’t how shocking it is for a major league pitcher to ask for his demotion because he can’t handle all the “negativity.” It isn’t the fact that Snell’s $8 million/three year contract is guaranteed no matter where he pitches in 2009 and beyond. It isn’t even that Snell was a consistent major league starter, with potential to grow, for a season and a half.
