The most frutsrtating thing for me about the Ian Snell situation isn’t how shocking it is for a major league pitcher to ask for his demotion because he can’t handle all the “negativity.” It isn’t the fact that Snell’s $8 million/three year contract is guaranteed no matter where he pitches in 2009 and beyond. It isn’t even that Snell was a consistent major league starter, with potential to grow, for a season and a half. Then, like so many Pirates starters before him, just turned to dust in front of our very eyes. No, the most frustrating thing for me about the whole Ian Snell situation is how little I actually care.
