NBC spoils race before it airs with commercial

NBC runs promo touting interview with gold medal winner Missy Franklin before actually showing race she won gold in

NBC has decided to tape delay many of the big events and show them in prime time. We don’t particularly like it, but we understand. It’s all about making the money. And though, we have to deal with results being spoiled by journalists in London and Twitter, the last thing we thought we would have to deal with is NBC themselves spoiling results. But that’s exactly what happened...

NBC airs commercial spoiling Missy Franklin's backstroke gold medal

In case you haven't heard, NBC has faced a wee bit of criticism for their tape delaying of this year's Olympics.  Just a wee bit.  However, there are indeed some individuals out there that are successful in their endeavor to not have results spoiled before enjoying the primetime broadcast.  Maybe they don't believe in having the internet or cable.  Maybe they...

Missy Franklin, Ryan Lochte Among Olympic Highlights on Day 4 of Games (Video)

As the Olympic Games continue in London, the Americans are sending home plenty of hardware and giving fans a reason to cheer. On Day 4 of the competition, Aurora, Colo. native Missy Franklin gave her hometown a reason to smile when she took home the gold in the women's 100-meter backstroke. The Americans dominated in the men's 100M backstroke, as Matt Grevers took the gold...

Franklin won gold by ignoring hype

"She just won," Ryan Lochte deadpanned. This monotone, exhausted and somewhat deflated three-word sentence is what amounted to play-by-play for Missy Franklin's gold-medal winning and frankly somewhat unbelievable 100-meter backstroke swim -- unbelievable because that swim came 14 minutes after she had just finished a 200-meter freestyle semifinal. "I can'...

Before the preliminaries of my fiance Matt Grevers' 100 backstroke, I was shaking in my nosebleed seat, crammed in between Missy Franklin's Uncle Doug and...
