Lane Kiffin and his USC Trojans are going to go with a two QB system to start the year verse Hawaii. Max Wittek and Cody Kessler have battled it out all spring, all to have the competition continue into the season.

This competition was inevitable. Both Wittek and Kessler were apart of the same 2011 recruiting class for the Trojans; so from the very beginning they knew that when Matt Barkley left, it would be them battling it out for that starting QB position.
Even coming out of high school these two were neck and neck, as scout.com had both as 4 star prospects and Wittek ranked the 11th best QB in the land and Kessler being 12th.
