Utah Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward said he initially felt like ripping Delonte West's finger off and fighting him after he jabbed it into Hayward's right ear during the second quarter of Monday night's triple-overtime win against Dallas.
Hayward acknowledged Tuesday many of his teammates would have.
But Hayward said he ''got the last laugh'' as the Jazz prevailed 123-121 to keep alive their slim playoff hopes with four games remaining.
The incident, which earned West a technical foul after his personal foul but no ejection, lit up twitter after Monday night's 3 hour-and-17 minute thriller.
West insisted afterward that Hayward had lint in his hair and he wanted to give him a ''wet willy''.
The Mavs guard said he wasn't sure if the NBA would fine him for the incident.

Oh yes he did!! On Monday night as the Jazz topped the Mavs 123-121, Delonte West took a break from bangin' LeBron's mom to bust out an old-school maneuver on Gordon Hayward.
What is Rick Carlisle teaching these guys? First Vince Carter burps-n-blows in Rudy Gay’s face. Now Delonte West is getting a technical foul for giving Gordon Hayward a Wet Willie!
Those Utah Jazz broadcasters were as upset as Utah Jazz broadcasters can get! They wanted West ejected! Shame on you Delonte West. Picking on that goofy-looking...

…and Hayward didn’t like it.
Here we have Delonte West giving Gordan Hayward a “Wet Willie”. At first glance it may look like West is merely putting his finger on or near Hayward’s ear, so just for good measure West went ahead and explained what he was doing in a post game interview.“I was giving him a wet Willie, that’s all,” West said. “He had some lint in his hair.“We were two warriors. We...

West, 28 is in his eighth NBA season is making the veteran's minimum of $1.5 million.
Apparently Delonte forgot his meds last night, because that’s the only explanation I can think of for what he did. Either that or Heyward poses a passing resemblance to Lebron’s mom.
The Dallas Mavericks are the defending NBA Champions, and they currently sit with a record of 34-26. That is good enough to be positioned with the sixth seed out West right now, but also only 2 1/2 games ahead of the hard-charging Suns who occupy the ninth spot. The Maverick players are saying their goal is to repeat at the moment, and I am sure they want too, but it is hard to argue...
