Arizona State freshman guard Calaen Robinson will not play this season.
Sun Devils coach Herb Sendek announced Saturday night that the 6-foot-1 lefty from nearby Tempe Corona del Sol High School will not play this season, but could return next year.

Sun Devil fans have been waiting a long time to see Jahii Carson suit up and play in ASU maroon and gold. More than 800 days since the Mesa native committed to Arizona State, Carson finally made his debut on Saturday as the Sun Devils kicked off their 2012-13 campaign with a resounding 79-64 win over Central Arkansas at Wells Fargo Arena.
The lack of depth across Arizona State’s defensive line has been well documented and it is one position that will certainly be addressed in the 2013 recruiting class. One prospect the Sun Devils are looking at is Jerome McClain from Northwest Mississippi Community College, who with a help of a high school friend and a Sun Devil commit is now being pursued by ASU.
