With the first pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs selected Gavin McKenna. McKenna comes into the NHL with high expectations. It is not dissimilar to when Connor McDavid entered the NHL as the first pick in 2015, playing for the Edmonton Oilers.
