Just when it looked like the United States men’s national soccer team’s record win streak was headed down the toilet, Jozy Altidore showed up to save the day. Trailing 2-0 at the half against Bosnia-Herzegovina, the United States rallied for a 4-3 win thanks to three goals and an assist from Altidore. The 23-year-old emerging star striker was brilliant throughout the friendly Wednesday night, muscling and shaking his way through Bosnia’s defense before finishing with expert strikes. The Americans now have a 12-match win streak and Altidore has scored in five straight international appearances. Both are team records. We have videos of his stunning performance below: In the 55th minute he assisted on Eddie Johnson’s goal to close the gap to 2-1. He kept the momentum going in the 59th minute, as he gathered a great pass from Fabian Johnson and put the ball away in the bottom corner with his left foot, tying the game at 2-2. In the 84th minute he stepped over the ball and delivered this beautiful free kick goal into the upper left corner to give the United States a 3-2 lead. Without wasting any time, Altidore gathered a gorgeous pass from Michael Bradley and tucked it into the back of the net in the 86th minute to put the US up 4-2.
