Zack Darlington is the quarterback for high school powerhouse Apopka High, and he’s committed (verbally) to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Today, he was involved in one of the prettiest plays you’ll ever see, a perfectly executed Statue of Liberty.
On 3rd and 16, this was apparently the right call for Apopka. Darlington handed it off to wide receiver Ray Ray Smith who went 72 yards for the score, with the help of two amazing blocks.
Take a look:
That was fun.

It's nice to see that Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini isn't above laughing at his own infamous temper.
Pelini did so last week when he pulled a prank for the ages on his Cornhusker players.
During a team meeting, Pelini had a cell phone go off in the bag of defensive tackle Thad Randle - who was in on the joke. Pelini has a strict "no cell phone" policy in team...
Be advised: Nebraska Cornhuskers coach Bo Pelini will not take you to the movies until he has successfully pranked you into thinking he’s a crazy person.
With the help of 5th year senior Thad Randle, Pelini recently pulled off an elaborate prank that targeted his entire team. During one of Pelini’s recent team meetings (in which there is a strict ‘no cell phone’ policy),...
Who says Bo Pelini is humorless? Well, the Nebraska Cornhuskers Head Coach holds some pretty awful and painful press conferences, but he shows a great sense of humor here in this video. Bo Pelini pranked his team pretty good here with the movie night prank. The best part of the video is probably around the minute mark or just before when he smashes the cell phone. Around the 2...
This is absolutely wonderful. Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini decided to pull an incredible prank on his team yesterday. He planted a cellphone with 5th-year Thad Randle (who was in on the trick), and had one of his staff members call the phone during a team meeting. When the phone went off, Pelini intentionally threw a fit and even smashed the phone with a hammer, much to the shock...
This is GopherDigest eighth edition of the season previews and we look at Minnesota's week eight opponent, Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Nebraska Cornhuskers kick off this weekend and with it will come official visitors. This running back from Florida will visit Nebraska for the second game of the season.
There has been an underlying theme to preseason college football news. Outside of the who got hurt, who is going to start, and who is looking like a contender--the usual stuff--a lot of head coaches have been showing off their lighter side. We've had teams go bowling; another brought a bounce house in. I can't remember who but there was even a slip n'slide at one team...
If there are a few words I thought I would never say it’s Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini pulled a great prank. Well, we can scratch that one of the sports writing bucket list. Bo Pelini pulled off a very believable prank on his team and it works so well because you could actually see this happening.
His players look rightfully terrified.
Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Bo Pelini pulled a pretty epic prank on the Huskers to announce movie night, smashing a player's cell phone.
(Eds: With AP Photos.) By ERIC OLSON AP College Football Writer Andrew Rodriguez has had his patience tested at Nebraska.
The offensive lineman showed up in 2010 as one of the Cornhuskers' most celebrated recruits. He came out of 2012 wondering if he would ever fulfill the expectations that followed him to Lincoln.
''It's the worst feeling when you're told you...
The Nebraska Cornhuskers were expecting to have their second practice of the day, but head coach Bo Pelini decided to give them a surprise movie night. The way he told them was pretty priceless. Pranking the team like this is a good way to keep everybody loose, though I’m sure the players would have preferred that there wasn’t a prank since some of them looked legitimately...
And it continues.
A week full of college head coaches doing wild, crazy and sometimes wacky things to fire up the troops as they wind down training camp.
In this episode, Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini goes to elaborate measures to put one over on his football team.
The players are waiting to be dismissed to attend "Movie Night" when the hilarity ensues...
Nebraska received good news that 2013 reruit Marcus Newby from Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard had been cleared to join the team in Lincoln.
