Running backs Derrick Green and De'Veon Smith signed with Michigan on Wednesday, giving the Wolverines a pair of additional options in the backfield.
The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Green is the nation's top-ranked running back recruit, according to Scout.com. The Richmond, Va., product scored over 20 touchdowns as both a junior and a senior in high school.

Michigan's 2013 signing class is in the books and Head Coach Brady Hoke is quite pleased with the 27 guys he's signed. Hoke said most importantly, these guys are all guys with character and integrity, not to mention they're quite talented on the football field as well.
Michigan coach John Beilein hasn’t been able to spend as much time on the basics in practice as he’d like, recently. As a result, things haven’t been perfect in this tough stretch… but that’s ok. The Wolverines remain focused on the wins over anything else.
With the emergence of Michigan freshman tight end Devin Funchess this past season, Butt should give the Wolverines a nice tandem at tight end for the foreseeable future.
