Tweet With big-time athletes flying all over the pitch at high speeds and using their feet primarily, injuries in the game of soccer are going to happen. Sometimes, players “injure” themselves without any real contact and take a dive. Przemyslaw Tyton, the goalie for PSV, didn’t come in contact with another player, but no one is thinking he’s “diving” or faking an injury after this play: Tyton made a great save in the process, but I’m not sure smacking the post with his torso and then busting his head on the ground was worth it. As you can see in the video, Tyton was lying on the field unconscious in a scary moment and was carted off on a stretcher. Reports are that he will be fine. Hopefully that is the case. Best wishes to the keeper and hats off for that effort. H/T to Dirty Tackle.
