Found October 25, 2012 on Project Spurs:
San Antonio Spurs' Nando De Colo can pass, hit the clutch shot, run an offense and can really handle the ball. And "handle the ball" I mean De Colo's has an insanely, sick handle! In his final training session in France before joining the Spurs, Nando trained with Franck Le Goff (assistant coach for French team JSF Nanterre) where Goff put De Colo through a battery of dribbling drills, and shooting drills.  In the dribbling portion of the session, De Colo shows an amazing ability to handle the ball. He is dribbling with two basketballs at the same time, weaving through cones, chairs and even dribbles both balls backwards without missing a beat.  He also goes through some shooting drills where the coach has him working on a variety of shots such as absorbing a hit and making the shot. It's definitely worth a watch.

Tale of two guards: Joseph, De Colo in spirited preseason competition

The San Antonio Spurs currently have five players on their roster that can play point guard. When they decided to bring over 2009 draft prospect Nando De Colo, it left many fans wondering where De Colo would fit in with the stockpile of guards, especially those that could play at point. Gary Neal seems like the odds-on favorite to win the backup spot to Tony Parker while Patty...

Spurs' depth is the key for success this season

At what point to the San Antonio Spurs finally move on, close the window and begin life post-Three Amigos? It's going to happen eventually. Just not this season. The Spurs, for those who have forgotten, have forged the best regular-season record in the Western Conference the last two years. Though that doesn't guarantee anything in the playoffs, obviously, it does indicate...

The San Antonio Spurs just announced that they have waived forwards JaMychal Green and Wesley Witherspoon. We told you about the Spurs signing Green on Tuesday and Witherspoon recently talked about wanting to start his NBA career in San Antonio. Ginobili: Spurs must improve defense to remain among the best

During the San Antonio Spurs championship reign, the franchise captured four NBA titles predicated on stellar defense. The Spurs would defy any team from scoring and their defense was the epitome of the saying, "Offense wins games but defense wins championships." However, that was then, this is now. The Spurs haven't won a title since 2007 and it coincides with...

Danny Green: Defense is biggest key

The regular season is nearing and the San Antonio Spurs will be in the hunt for title number five but unlike their championship teams, the team's defense isn't as strong. Their best defender is arguably Kawhi Leonard with Tim Duncan following but after that, the team is made up of decent defenders but not the type to bring the Spurs back to their past defensive ways which...

Witherspoon hoping to be a Spur this season

As a camp hopeful, getting invited to an NBA training camp is one thing but the goal is to survive, making a huge impression on the coaching staff, survive the cuts, and be the last one standing. So far, that is exactly what is happening for San Antonio Spurs guard Wesley Witherspoon as he and Josh Powell are the last two players standing for the final roster spot. And with...

Spurs Day Video: The Day Fortune Changed For The Franchise

The San Antonio Spurs have a franchise rich in history. From their ABA roots, George "Iceman" Gervin's "finger rolls," David Robinson's quadruple-double game, Sean Elliott's "Memorial Day Miracle" to the franchise's four NBA titles in 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007. However, those four titles (and not to mention their stamp as one of the...

Can Leonard grow his game in second season with Spurs?

Does he have stardom written all over his game? These are just some of the questions surrounding Kawhi Leonard as he embarks on his sophomore season with the San Antonio Spurs after a rookie season that saw the 6-foot-7 small forward...

Duncan Dilemma done; NBA changes All Star ballot positions

The NBA took a step away from labeling player with traditional and slightly outdated positions.  The League announced Tuesday that it is doing away with center position on the All-Star Game fan ballots.  In its place, the league is simply going to list frontcourt players, lumping all forwards and centers in one group called frontcourt players.  TNT's David Aldridge broke the...
