Steven Ridley is in a pretty bad situation right now. After putting the ball on the ground twice, the second time being returned for a touchdown, he found a firm spot on the bench for the rest of the game.

The issues continued in training camp, so the fact that he put it on the ground not once but twice, means he might have even just been demoted. (note: the first fumble didn't count as Ridley was ruled down by contact, still doesn't matter in the eyes of Belichick and player evaluation)
It's only the first game of the season, but Bill Belichick doesn't take too kindly to fumbles. It doesn't help matters for Ridley that Shane Vereen had a great game in Ridley's stead - including a 15 yard run on the last drive to all but secure the win.
The Ridley situation will be something to monitor c...

A win is a win. Sunday’s season opener wasn’t pretty, but when it counted the most the Patriots got it done. Is the offensive display put on by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos an indication that teams will be passing and running up and down the field at will in 2013? Of course not as one game is no trend. However, teams like the Patriots and Bills must be able to match-up with Denver’s arsenal so each team must answer lingering questions about their...
