A fake Twitter account portraying UCLA Bruins freshman Randall Goforth caused quite an uproar Monday night. The Bruins are set to take on the crosstown rival USC Trojans on Nov. 17 and one imposter used the social media site to stir things up using Goforth as an alias. The account has since been shut down, and the identity of the imposter is still not known, but UCLA head coach Jim Mora didn't hesitate to address the matter after the Bruins' practice on Tuesday."It think it's a frickin' joke that somebody would do that," Mora said. "I think you're the lowest form of life-form if you were to portray yourself as an 18-year old young man who is out here trying to do his best. Trying to stir it up, attributing comments to him that aren't his, I think he [or she] ought to go to jail. That's how I feel. I think you're a scumbag," said Mora. The tweet in question was sent Monday night from the impersonator account to USC receiver Robert Woods about the impending rivalry game. It read, "We will beat you guys on Nov. 17th, Believe the hype."Apparently, that lone statement sent fans from both schools into a frenzy as they two engaged in a little trash talking. Mora said Goforth was in a tutoring session at the time the message was sent. The freshman would later reveal that he doesn't he have a Twitter account."It was shocking because I'm just a freshman," Goforth stated. "I have no right to be talking or anything. I have tremendous respect for all those guys at USC..."Mora said he has already called Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin to explain the situation, and that the matter at hand is a "non-issue" at this point.Yet Mora appears ready to go knuckle-to-knuckle with the imposter. I for one am willing to donate the gloves.Via ESPN.
