EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Adrian Peterson played inSunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks despite missing two days of practice lastweek. The Minnesota Vikings' MVP running back might be forced tosuit up again this week with limited practice time. Peterson, dealing with agroin injury, missed practice Wednesday and coach Leslie Frazier wasn't surewhen he would he would practice again this week and is holding out hope forPeterson to be ready by Sunday's game at Green Bay."I am, but cautiously optimistic, I guess I'llsay," Frazier said Wednesday morning before Peterson sat out the team'safternoon practice outside.Frazier wasn't sure how much work Peterson will be able toget in this week. Peterson missed Thursday and Friday's practices last week andstruggled with the injury in Sunday's game, rushing 21 times for 65 yards.Peterson said after the game he missed opportunities to break long runs becauseof the injury.Peterson told Green Bay reporters on a conference callWednesday he expects to play."I'm feeling pretty good," Peterson said."I'm just taking it one day at a time and getting the necessary rest andgetting the treatment and things I need to be ready to roll on Sunday."Peterson has averaged 115.5 yards per game in 13 careergames against the Packers. He had 13 carries for 60 and a touchdown in theprevious meeting between the two teams at the Metrodome on Oct. 27.That game against Green Bay was in a stretch of three gamesin which Peterson never received more than 13 carries or have more than 62yards as the reigning MVP and his blocking hasn't been able to find the sametraction it did when Peterson rushed for the second-highest, single-seasontotal in NFL history last season.Peterson ran for 409 yards against the Packers in the tworegular-season games last year and then was held to 99 yards in the playoffgame at Lambeau Field. After the stretch of 26 total carries in three weeks,Peterson has topped 20 carries each of the past three games and played throughthe groin injury Sunday."I mentioned on Monday the groin has been botheringhim," Frazier said. "We'll see what we need to do this week. Is heable to practice today or tomorrow, or do we hold him back until Friday? We'llmake that determination this afternoon when we sit down and talk with ourtrainers." Follow Brian Hall on Twitter
