Found September 14, 2013 on Fox Sports North:
If the Minnesota Vikings are to end their struggles in Chicago, they'll likely need to take care of the football against an opportunistic Bears defense that seems to have picked up where it left off last season. Hoping to cut down on the mistakes made in their season-opening defeat, the Vikings look to avoid a sixth straight road loss to the Bears on Sunday. Chicago has won 11 of 12 at home over Minnesota, averaged 35.6 points during this five-game winning streak and won the last three by an average margin of 20.3. The Bears have forced 31 turnovers in those 12 meetings, including 14 in the last five. After leading the NFL with 44 takeaways in 2012, Chicago got a pair of Charles Tillman interceptions and recovered a fumble during last Sunday's 24-21 home win over Cincinnati. That doesn't seem to bode well for the Vikings, who turned the ball over four times courtesy of quarterback Christian Ponder in their 34-24 loss at Detroit last Sunday. "You have to be exce...

GIF: Christian Ponder lays truck stick on Lance Briggs

Tweet Christian Ponder gets a lot of flak (deservedly) for his inept play as the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. After all, he does already have a pick-six against him today. However, Ponder also did his best impersonation of his teammate, Adrian Peterson, while playing the Chicago Bears this afternoon when he did this […]

Vikings fan takes dislike of Ponder to President Obama

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings' fans are fed up with quarterback Christian Ponder after two years as Minnesota's quarterback. One fan is taking his issues with Ponder to a higher authority: President Barack Obama. A petition was started on the White House website to remove Ponder as the Vikings' quarterback "by executive order." The petition reads...

Chicago Linebacker Lance Briggs Embarrassed by Minnesota QB Christian Ponder

Whenever you talk about hits between quarterbacks and linebackers folks immediately assume that its going to be the linebacker laying some wood on the QB. Normally, that would be the case--but not in the Minnesota/Chicago game Sunday. Vikings QB Christian Ponder was scrambling up the sideline when Bears linebacker Lance Briggs tried to help the Minnesota signal caller get out...

Christian Ponder obliderated Lance Briggs (GIF)

Defensive players always look to take a shot at the quarterback following an interception.  So when a quarterback is able to deliver a blow (not that kind of blow, Jeff Garcia, ya weirdo), I’m all for seeing a defender get punished. On Sunday, Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder found himself in a position to lay the lumber on Bears linebacker Lance Briggs.  And boy, was the...

GIF: Christian Ponder lowers the boom, trucks Lance Briggs

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder decides to go full-Hulk, trucking Chicago Bears star Lance Briggs.

Bears Tim Jennings Pick 6 on Christian Ponder (Video)

Right after that Bears INT in the endzone, Christian Ponder had his chance to drive the Vikings down to take advantage. That didn’t work out so well as he threw a pick 6 to Tim Jennings. Josh Freeman on line 1?

Christian Ponder reportedly on a short leash

According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports,  Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is on a short leash after committing four turnovers in week one. Even though the Vikings lost by one point to the Bears on Sunday,  Ponder threw one touchdown and one interception.  It looks like his job is safe for now.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Report: Ponder on short leash for Vikings; could Cassel get nod?

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder turned the ball over four times in a Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions. Despite a playoff appearance last season Ponder can't afford many more games like that if he wants to keep his job. Ponder is on a "much shorter leach" than anyone realizes" Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported Sunday before the Vikings' game...

Adrian Peterson: 100-yard rushing games are ‘so easy’

Adrian Peterson is looking to bounce back this week against the Chicago Bears.  But the Minnesota Vikings are just 1-5 at Soldier Field. Peterson opened the game last week against Detroit with a 78-yard touchdown run, but finished the

PJD's Game Two Recap: Vikings Gonna Vike

Has There Ever Been a More "Vikings Game" Vikings Game? OK, so we all just suffered through a stupid Vikings game on Sunday afternoon. The Vikings lost to the Bears 31-30, and it was pretty embarrassing. But ask yourself WHY it was embarrassing. I mean, we all knew the Vikings were going to lose the game, right? Did ANYONE legitimately pick them to win going in to it...

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Three Bold Predictions

The Chicago Bears were edged out by the Vikings for the final NFC playoff spot in 2012 but took a step towards putting that disappointment behind them last Sunday with a come-from-behind 24-21 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. As they battled in Chicago, the Minnesota Vikings stumbled in their first test of the 2013 season, losing 34-24 to the Detroit Lions. The Bears rode Jay...

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: 2013 Week 2 NFL Pick

Minnesota Vikings (0-1) at Chicago Bears (1-0) The Vikings were one of the teams I predicted a big win change for. Part of the reason for this is the Vikings went from 3 wins to 10 last season. Ordinarily, we can expect teams that have big win changes to have an opposite change of about half the following season, so a 7 win increase is, on average, followed by a 3.5 win increase...
