Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson literally missed the bus Sunday, but coach Leslie Frazier wasn't ready to say the incident contributed to the team missing the bus figuratively on the field in Chicago. Peterson came to Soldier Field via cab prior to the Vikings' 28-10 loss to the Bears, and multiple media outlets reported that he arrived later than the players' mandated time. "Anytime one of your leaders is not where he's supposed to be, it's not good," Frazier said. "I talk to our team all the time about being where you're supposed to be and being where you're supposed to be on time. So, it's a big deal. ... "We have talked about it, and hopefully it'll never happen again. Can't see why it would. Hopefully, it never happens again." However, Frazier added that he didn't think Peterson's tardiness contributed to the defeat. "I think everybody was pretty focused on their job and doing what they had to do," the coach said. "I'm not sure how many guys really knew that he wasn't on the bus." Peterson got off to a slow start Sunday, gaining just 25 yards on seven carries as the Bears fell behind 25-3. Peterson added a lot of meaningless yardage in the second half, finishing with 108 yards on 18 carries. Of missing the bus, Peterson told reporters Sunday, "It wasn't a big deal. I came out and played."
