Full disclosure - I'm not exactly a gamer. I tried playing Guitar Hero once before realizing it was nothing like playing a real guitar... which I also suck at playing. The only system I own is Super NES, and the only game I play on it is NBA Jam. And I haven't even played that in over two years.
This isn't to suggest that I'm in any way better than avid gamers out there. In fact, I'm probably much worse of a person than most gamers. Instead of stimulating my mind and honing my hand-eye coordination by funneling my past time into completing missions, willing a team to a division title, and launching pissed off avian creatures into a series of structures, I funnel my free time into **** like: drinking too much and too frequently, watching sports and comedy on TV, tweeting obscure '90s song references to my staggering 334 followers (and shrinking!), promoting my fairly unsuccessful novelty t-shirt business in a myriad of tasteless ways, singing songs...

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy announced Wednesday on Twitter that he's been selected and will play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic in March.
"Just found out I will be joining my teammate Ryan Braun in representing my country in the WBC! Very honored and humbled to represent the USA," Lucroy tweeted.
Along with Braun, Lucroy, joins New York Mets...
Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun will play for the United States in the World Baseball Classic, the five-time All-Star told 1250-AM WSSP in Milwaukee on Monday.
Braun, who batted .381 in six games during the 2009 WBC, told the radio station he's already preparing for this year's event. Team USA will begin training in Phoenix on March 4, a few weeks after the Brewers...
I’m a little concerned about the overall depth of the Brewers system but the Top 15 list filled out a little bit better than I expected it to. There are a number of pitching prospects that appear capable of developing into solid big league starters, which should be welcomed news in Milwaukee considering how thin the big league staff is at this time.
#1 Tyler Thornburg (P) ...
Jed Bradley isn’t making excuses. The Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect knows he underperformed in his first professional season, and he’s spending the winter doing something about it. A 22-year-old lefthander, Bradley logged a 5.53 ERA for Brevard County, in the Florida State League, after being drafted 15th overall in 2011 out of Georgia Tech.
David Laurila: Do your...

FAN Projection Targets: Basically Every Brewers Starter
As is made apparent by the very recently released 2013 ZiPS projections for the Milwaukee Brewers...
Kelvim Escobar will attempt to win a spot in the bullpen of the Milwaukee Brewers. The 36-year-old right hander signed a minor league deal with the Brewers on Thurdsday. As part of the deal he will be invited to spring training.
The last time Escobar pitched in the major leagues was 2009 as a member of the Los Angeles Angels. There had been talk about Escobar attempting a come back...
The Milwaukee Brewers decided to take a chance on a blast from the past when they signed right-hander Kelvim Escobar to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. Escobar, who will be 37 in April, has pitched in just one major league game since 2007 and none since 2009. He resurfaced this winter in Venezuela and was throwing the ball well again, so the Brewers decided...
The Milwaukee Brewers are taking a chance on a veteran pitcher making a comeback and have avoided salary arbitration with left-hander Chris Narveson, the club announced Thursday.
Veteran right-hander Kelvim Escobar who has thrown just five innings in the big leagues since 2009 due to lingering shoulder issues has decided to make a comeback attempt with the Brewers, signing a minor...
Shaun Marcum is a pretty good Major League pitcher. He’s been in the show since 2005 and owns a 3.76 ERA and 4.25 FIP in a little over 900 career innings. That’s a 90 ERA- and 101 FIP-, respectively. Like most pitchers though, it took Marcum a few years to really hit his stride. Since 2008 he’s pitched to a 3.57 ERA (88 ERA-) and a 3.97 FIP (97 FIP-) in a bit less than 700...
Right handed pitcher Kelvim Escobar, who who hasn't pitched in the Majors since 2009, signed a Major League deal with the Milwaukee Brewers he announced through his Twitter account.
Back in May, Escobar announced that he was planning to make a comeback and has been playing in the Venezuelan Winter League for the first time since 2009. In 11 innings for his team in Venezuela,...
Dan Szymborski’s ZiPS projections, which have typically appeared in the pages of Baseball Think Factory, are being released at FanGraphs this year. Below are the projections for the Milwaukee Brewers. Szymborski can be found on Twitter at @DSzymborski.
Other 2013 Projections: Angels / Astros / Athletics / Blue Jays / Cubs / Giants / Nationals / Phillies / Rangers / Royals.
Chris Narveson missed almost the entire 2012 season after undergoing shoulder surgery early in the year. He made only two starts last season, but he will be fighting for a starting role this upcoming season, and he is expected to be healthy come spring training. Narveson was arbitration-eligible this year, but the Milwaukee Brewers avoided the arbitration process by reaching...
