The Boston Red Sox three week stretch against teams at or below .500 will be tested somewhat this weekend against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who come into the series with strong starting pitching. Arizona comes to Fenway Park for the first time in interleague play since June 15-17, 2010 in which the Red Sox swept them. Red Sox shortstop Stephen Drew faces his former team for the first time as an opposing player after spending the first seven years of this career in Arizona. Drew was one of the National League better shortstops from 2008-2010 before injuries limited him from 2011 on and was never the same player since. Old friend Cody Ross will return to Fenway Park this time as a visitor after spending last year with Boston. Despite some injuries, Ross has managed to hit .271 6 HRs and 32 RBIs in 86 games for the Diamondbacks. Despite only playing one season in a Red Sox uniform, Ross was a force at Fenway last year hit .298 13 HRs 49 RBIs and 25 doubles in only 66 games. One area ...
