Ward Burton says he's "ready to get off the couch." And after four seasons of sitting on the sidelines, Burton, 50, will return to Daytona International Speedway -- the site of his 2002 Daytona 500 win -- behind the wheel of the No. 27 Chevrolet for Hillman Racing in the Camping World Truck Series in the NextEra Energy Resources 250 on Feb. 24. State Water Heaters will sponsor the truck which was previously under the Germain banner. Burton's son Jeb, 19, will assume the driving duties the following race in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway on March 31. Jeb advances from the Whelen All-American Series, but has not been approved to run on the 2.5-mile track. Burton scored five Cup wins in 13 seasons. He will be reunited with Tripp Bruce, who served as his car chief at Bill Davis Racing. Burton told Steve Byrnes on SPEED's Race Hub that he'd be willing to run additional races in order to gain Jeb more seat time.
