Mike Leach’s Washington State University football team is currently in Auburn, preparing for a (likely) sound thrashing at the hands of the host Tigers. However, roughly 100 Cougar fans who made the journey to the Deep South can walk away with a moral victory, as their hard partying ways led to an utter annihilation of every keg at Quixotes Tex-Mex Restaurant near campus (note: we say “near campus” based on what Google Maps tells us — we don’t know exactly how consequential it is as a pre-game/weekend gathering place). Reporters on the scene (aka, drunk WSU fans) claimed that the kegs ran dry roughly three hours before closing. The epic feat of drinking was confirmed by a bartender at Quixotes, who simply said (at 10:19 pm, Alabama Time): ”Your fans drank us completely out of beer. We are going to have to close the place down.” We don’t care where you are, where you’re from, or what you do — that’s ******* impressive. And yet, that’s still not even WSU’s finest alcoholic moment. Our

Auburn 31 Washington State 24: The aftermath, what went wrong?

Holy Hell, Halliday The Cougars fell to the Tigers Saturday by a score of 31-24. There was a lot to love about the Cougars performance. They came out strong on their opening drive with a well-executed 75 yards leading to 7 points. The Tigers answered back and added on a 2-point conversion to take a 8-7 lead early in the first quarter. Connor Halliday had received praise all pre...

Two-minute drill: Tigers 31, Cougars 24

Auburn Vs. Washington State: What To Watch

Auburn's running game should be the difference for the Tigers as they open the season against PAC-12 foe Washington State.

What to watch for on offense from Washington St.

Details Need to Become Habits The above statement is a quote heard from Washington State head coach Mike Leach following Tuesday’s practice earlier this week. It couldn’t be more accurate. The first season under Leach was one full of turmoil and disappointment. The high-flying offense was more like a low-walking **** show, and the reason was mainly the system. The complicated...

That offense is the Air Raid and Bender looked like a veritable...

Can Cougs find red zone and 3rd down magic?

PULLMAN — Statistically speaking, offseason attention on Washington State has tended to focus on the woeful number of sacks the Cougs surrendered last season. But there are two other unsavory bits of offensive accounting that help explain WSU’s 3-9 record: Proficiency in the red zone and on third-down conversions.

Road wins won't come without consistency

WASHINGTON STATE FANS always have loved their tall, strong-armed signal-callers, and Connor Halliday is no different. For better and worse. Halliday displayed some of the best traits of the Cougars’ famous quarterback lineage – and other undesirable aspects during WSU’s 31-24 loss Saturday at Auburn.
