We are literally a garbage franchise. No defense. One hurt player away on offense from disaster.

Posted October 05, 2013

Its time to start taking a hard look at this owner.   his motives.   last year i said our defense would regress with the parting of jenkins, , DRC,  Nhamdi(yes him) and Patterson.  We have a defense that is littered with castoffs, backups and role players masquerading as starters.   EZ was right.  You cant name a single player that isnt expendable on this defense.   On the team there may be two players that arent expendable.   This team is a shell of its former self.   It will take a monumental effort and years to build this team into a contender for the superbowl.  Its been stripped.  The last in yards allowed.  2nd to last in points allowed .  We stink.  And a bunch of these players on D have been signed as stop gap measure.   Then what?   I don not see a significant change  coming on that defense.  We are literally 19 million dollars away from putting a reasonable product on the defensive side of the ball.   This fan base will turn its back on this owner and team if the product on the field continues to be substandard.  I wouldnt pay to see this garbage.    Ive been saying this was coming for years.   Sure the eagles can compete with big efforts by the big three.  Vick, McCoy and Jackson but it is glaringly apparent that Jackson can be nuetralized with double teams and physical plays.   This is a broken franchise and unless chip is given proper support he will fail.  Right now Im blaming Lurie for this crap product.  Im sticking by it.
