Found January 15, 2013 on Buckeye Empire:
2014 DB Darius West (Lima,OH/Central Catholic) made the trip down to Columbus for JR day.  While West might only be a Junior in High School, he is no stranger to the Ohio State campus.  “I went on a tour around the Woody Hayes Center for the third time, we rode the buses over to the OSU/UM basketball game and went on the court to watch warmups” West said when asked what he did when he first arrived in the 614. The 6’0 195lb three star recruit liked what he saw out of Thad Matta and the boys  56-53 victory over that team up north Saturday. ” The basketball game was very fun, definitely something I would do a lot if I go to OSU”. After the game Darius went back to the Woody Hayes Center and talked with the coaching staff ” I talked to every coach But I’d say I talked to Coach(Everett) Withers, Coach Tim Hinton & Coach (Stan) Drayton the most, I talked to Coach Withers for about an hour”.  Withers definitely  made sure the talented DB knew he was welcomed back ” He told me to come back down whenever I get the chance to”. The coaching staff isn’t the only people West chatted it up with, Darius ran into a few recruits when on his visit ” I talked to Tavion Jacobs (2013 Commit), Marcelys Jones (2014 Commit) I also talked to Corn Elder (2013 Recruit)”. Darius is not only getting looked at by The Buckeyes, he holds numerous scholarship offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Louisville, Indiana, Illinois & Tennessee to name a few.  West has plans to visit The Bearcats, Cardinals, Hoosiers, Illini and Georgia Tech in the near future.     As always keep checking back for future updates!  Go Bucks!
