The last few years, the NFL has come under fire from former players, outside medical agencies, mothers, wives, whoever, for the serious head trauma issues caused by the violent nature of the game. Just recently, doctors linked Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), to the suicide of Junior Seau. CTE is known to cause depression, memory loss, and dementia. More and more data seemingly comes to light every month, and it appears undeniable that there is a close connection with concussions and CTE. This doesn’t seem to be enough for Deion Sanders, the Hall of Fame cornerback who rarely dirtied his jersey in his 13-year career. Sanders, whom for unknown reasons works for the NFL Network, has decided to question the validity of the problem that the NFL is trying to tackle: “The game is a safe game, the equipment is better,” Sanders said on the NFL Network set. “I don’t buy all these guys coming back with these concussions. I’m not buying all that. Half these guys are trying to make money off the deal. That’s real talk. That’s really how it is. I wish they’d be honest and tell the truth because it’s keeping kids away from our game.” What [...]
