Whether you saw it live or saw it a countless amount of times on the four-letter network, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III should not have been yanked from Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. ’Skins head coach Mike Shanahan left RG3 in for right up until it was too late and he suffered an injury to his already-injured right knee. Here are GIFs from thescore.com.
Griffin was wearing a knee brace after having the knee examined by world-renowned doctor James Andrews. The Redskins publicized that Andrews gave his consent for Griffin to play Sunday, but it came out later that Andrews said that he never cleared him.
RG3 was obviously hindered by the knee and was essentially playing most of Sunday’s game on one leg. Shanahan left him in despite being extremely immobile. It caused what could be torn ligaments. Shanahan said that Griffin told him he was alright to keep playing.
So we ask you…who was to blame?
