EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The hurricane that hit the East Coast this week hit very close to home for the Wilf family, the principal owners of the Minnesota Vikings. On Friday, the team and the Wilf family announced they are pledging 100,000 toward Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. "Being from and living in the affected areas, our family has seen first-hand the destruction of Hurricane Sandy," Vikings owner and chairman Zygi Wilf said in a release. "As an organization, it is important for us to help raise awareness and support for those impacted by this disaster. Every contribution is critical to helping families and individuals in the region." The Wilfs are from New Jersey, one of the areas hardest hit by the storm that has caused power outages and displaced residents from their homes all along the East Coast.
