See what I did there? Anyway, WV23, who does yeoman’s work much higher up the Cubs Blog Food Chain, needs some help, because he’s taken on a Herculean task: cataloging all the hand-wringing Milton Bradley rumor mongering by Sullivan, Rogers et. al. This should be an easy thing for us to do, seeing as it will be eminently entertaining to see the sweat drenched desperation grow with each column and each baseless rumor. And WV’s given us two examples as a head start. Take yesterday for instance, where the Frumpy Hobbit identified Akinori Iwamura as a possible trade target. Which he was. For the Pirates. Now, completely ignoring the mountain of reporting to the contrary, Phil Rogers has decided the Rangers “are losing Marlon Byrd” and would therefore be open to taking Bradley back. See, writing a column is easy when you don’t bother to check facts. Which leads to things like proposing the Cubs sign a FA SP to play RF. We would be remiss, however, not point out our own take on possible trades for Milton Bradley. Feel free to ridicule me when none of those happen. Or just feel free to ridicule me. Either way.
