I need to apologize to not only the Eagles organization but also the die-hard Philly fan base everywhere, because I had this game as a stone-cold lock for the Giants...
But the Eagles came up with a total team effort--- including 5-for-5 field goals made by Alex Henery--- and a resilience on both offense and defense we hadn't seen since the opener in Washington.
There were so many individual responses by Eagles players to adversity on the field, I don't know where to begin. Cedric Thornton, for example, got ripped off by the refs of a legitimate safety tackle against David Wilson in the Giants end zone...but he kept on playing hard.
Same goes for safeties Earl Wolff and Nate Allen, who both made some early mistakes on double-move routes but eventually recovered to each make some big plays to deny long receptions by the Giants' best wideouts.
Special teams coverages were on the mark for most of the game. On defense Bill Davis started to call an extra pass ...
BEST OF MAXIM
Michael Vick and Nick Foles entered Eagles Training Camp this year to compete for the starting quarterback position. Although it seemed like both quarterbacks struggled to pick up the new system at first, Vick began to pull away from Foles and won the job. This could potentially be Foles’ opportunity to get some revenge.
During the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the...

How big of a problem is Eli Manning for the Giants right now? It didn't seem like it at first, but Eli is becoming a huge reason why the Giants are 0-5. The Giants can no longer pretend that their quarterback is not costing them games.
Now before everyone gets too angry, I know exactly how good Eli has been in the past and what he has meant to this team. I am talking...
According to Newsday, Giants offensive lineman David Diehl announced that he’ll take over for Chris Snee at guard now that he’s been placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Hopefully Diehl can help the Giants line get things going against the Eagles on Sunday. It’s been virtually impossible for them to get any type of push in the running game and quarterback Eli Manning...
Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin will be forever irrevocably connected to each other in New York Giants history for their two miraculous Super Bowl wins and their decade long relationship as mentor and protege. Throughout it all, you never heard the head coach besmirch the play of Manning — either as a raw rookie or a struggling veteran —until now.
In what must have been a painful...
David Wilson of the New York Giants helped get his struggling team off to a fast start against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday by ripping off a nice 5-yard TD run. Instead of Wilson’s typical single backflip, he added another just because. Great execution. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
Tom Coughlin wants everybody to stop blaming Eli Manning for the New York Giants' miserable start.
Speaking in a conference call Monday after the Giants' record fell to 0-5 with a 36-21 loss to Philadelphia, Coughlin said the blame for the team's worst since 1987 should be directed toward him.
Once money in the fourth quarter, Manning has struggled with the game on...
Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles led four scoring drives after replacing an injured Michael Vick.
Newly acquired linebacker Jon Beason passed his physical on Friday had a few hours of meetings and he's ready to play today apparently.
Beason is not among the Giants inactives nor is Cullen Jenkins who struggled throughout the week with Achilles and knee issues.
Will Hill who was activated following a four-game suspension is also active today.
The Eagles came away with a much needed win against the Giants yesterday. I can’t say it was the prettiest win at times though, and it’s clear that Chip Kelly and his staff still have a good amount to work on this week. However, sitting at 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the division, the Eagles are tied for first place in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys. Here are just a few things...
Giants starting running back David Wilson is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Eagles due to a neck injury, reports the Newark Star-Ledger.Fantasy Spin:Wilson has rushed for 19 yards and his first touchdown of the season. Brandon Jacobs would see the majority of the snaps at running back if Wilson cannot return.
The New York Giants dropped to 0-5 on the season after losing at home to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday 36-21. Quarterback Eli Manning threw away the game with turnovers on three straight possessions in the fourth quarter. It was a disaster. Defensive back Antrel Rolle, who said during the week that he believed the […]
Free-agent quarterback Dennis Dixon will have a workout with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, a person familiar with Dixon's plans confirmed to The Associated Press.
The person spoke Saturday on the condition of anonymity because the Bills haven't announced Dixon's visit. Dixon was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles in August.
FoxSports.com first reported Dixon's workout...
