Ziggler talks concussion and title win: During a recent interview with BetweenTheRopes Dolph Ziggler discussed whether his concussion has made him tone down his style… “Honestly, no. I’ve been pulled aside by legends and guys backstage and being told that I put my body through too much sometimes. I understand that but I’m out there in the ring trying to give the best possible performance I can. I can’t not run into something as hard as I can. I can’t not give my all. And one day that could be a problem but so far I’ve never been injured to where I was out for weeks from anything I’ve done. I got kicked in the head one time and, like you said, it was a fluke, and every other thing I’ve done I put my body on the line because I want to because I want this crowd to go ooh and ahh and wow we’ve got to get behind this guy. I go there to prove to myself that I’m going to work harder than everyone else and I always will.” On whether he can envision a moment greater than his post-Mania title win: “I hope one day there’s such meaning and there’s such force behind people that we’re solidly behind me, this guy that never wins, almost never wins. And this guy, they see all this potential, they see how hard I work, they see how much I want to be the best and always seem to come out on the short end of the stick. I was such a relief, I think, not just for me, but for those hardcore fans that have been behind me going “how many times is Ziggler going to be screwed over before he pulls one off’.” On leaving AJ and Langston: “I feel like before the concussion we were finally starting to get some momentum. I was the only guy in this business who had a girlfriend and a giant bodyguard ringside with me and would still lose every night. As we were starting to work together and actually piece together some wins, I started to feel this is how a faction works. Just then, I got the concussion and I think that set back a few things and put in motion that maybe it’s time everyone goes their separate ways.” Impact audience on downward trend: For the third week in a row TNA Impact’s audience has decreased, this week pulling in 1,179,000 viewers. Bryan a big fan of Frank Turner: Daniel Bryan revealed in a recent interview with the UK’s Digital Spy that he’s a big fan of English folk/punk artist Frank Turner… “I love Frank Turner, an English guy. I would like to do something with him. There’s something about his music. I suppose there’s a lot in common with independent musicians and wrestlers. How much he’s on the road, all that kind of stuff. His music really speaks to me, I identify with it. If I could do something with him, that would be awesome.” Turner replied to Bryan on his Twitter, writing, “Hey @WWEDanielBryan – I’m game!” Wade Barrett and the Manic Street Preachers had a similar dialogue last year but WWE were not interested.
