Manchester City are eyeing Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.City boss Roberto Mancini is desperate to find a quality partner for No1 centre-half Vincent Kompany and former Manchester United stopper Pique is on his radar. The Daily Mail says both Pique and AC Milan‘s Thiago Silva are under consideration. Pique is also being linked with a return to Old Trafford.

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been released from hospital following a heavy collision with team-mate Victor Valdes during the Champions League semi-final defeat by Chelsea.
