The Sports Agent Blog:
There are at least three reasons that I want to be able to give God Save The Fan a bad review. 1) Will Leitch forces me to write out God instead of referring to Him as G-d. 2) I was left out of the 100+ blogger name shout out in the Acknowledgments section. 3) Everyone kept staring at me at the gym because my book had a giant middle finger glaring at them. With that said, I still have to give God Save The Fan an A+ rating.
Will Leitch's easy-to-read style allows anybody to read this 292 page book in a few days at most. There is one caveat to that statement: The Glossaries in each chapter take a while to peruse through, but are quite humorous at the same time. In fact, it was while reading the Glossary for the chapter on Owners that I literally had a laugh-out-loud moment (further scaring the cute University of Florida girls on the adjacent stationary bikes). Want to hear what it was? You will have to buy the book. Haha…no you don't. Read below:

Gilbert Arenas Sucks
I love Gilbert Arenas as much as anybody else out there, but instead of showering him with praise and well-wishes as he recovers from his recent knee surgery, I’ve decided to talk about how much he sucks.
First off, let me explain the reason behind this article: Nacho Hibachi responds to critic...
Sexy Pick Alert: Rick Ankiel
In the latest edition of the GNUru’s Sexy Pick Alert, we will look at one of the Sexiest young players from 7 years ago. That player is Rick Ankiel. For those GNUru heads who may be too young to remember, Rick Ankiel was once one of the most promising young left-handed pitchers in the game....
Shabbat Shalom: Special Thursday Wrap-Up
This Shabbat Shalom Wrap-Up is brought to you one day earlier than usual. I am soon leaving Florida for Las Vegas to celebrate my step-brother's bachelor party. I will not have access to a computer for the entire weekend, and thus submit to you the stories that I failed to cover during the week:
* Sports agent Arn Tellem, former NBA star BJ Armstrong, and NY Mets GM Omar...
Agent Zero is off the Case for Three Months
An MRI on Wednesday revealed a cartilage tear in Gilbert Arenas' balky left knee; the resulting knee surgery will cause Arenas to miss at least three months but most reports seem to be glossing over a key word here: "microfracture."
Gilbert Likes The Hug/Handshake Move…A Lot
Derek Hanson of TWolves Blog was lucky enough to meet Gilbert Arenas at Friday Night’s Wizards-Heat game as a guest of Dan Occhiogrosso who won a contest by Spalding, whom Gilbert endorses. Included in his recap from the experience was this exchange which is classic Gilbert:

Attention ESPN: Gil Likes Will Leitch's Book
Filed under: Wizards, NBA Media Watch, Washington, DCMaybe this abbreviated review of Will Leitch's God Save the Fan -- a tome which is not exactly nice to ESPN -- will get Gilbert Arenas on the Worldwide Leader's blacklist. Thank you Will Leitch! Got to give a shout out to Will Leitch and Deadspin f...
I thought better of it
I made the mistake of turning on the Arizona/Cincinnati game, forgetting it would be called by the Thom Brenneman.  No way.  That's not happening in this house.  Fortunately I tuned into the Cards/Rocks game in time to see Rick Ankiel's first bomb of the year, then hear the Cards announcers, fre...
Chauncey Billups: A Conflict of Interests
Everybody and anybody keeping track of the free agency pool this year has got to be already heads up with Chauncey Billups resigning with the Detroit Pistons. Now, it seems that Chauncey Billups will indeed be the face of the Pistons franchise of 2000; will he be one of the most beloved players the franchise has ever had, enough to have his jersey recognized and lifted up into the...
Wiz at Sonics (one last time?)
Here's hoping that this isn't my last NBA-related trip to this great city. I'm a big Seattle fan. All hands on deck for the Wizards tonight (except for Gilbert Arenas and Etan Thomas of course) while the SuperSonics will again be without former Maryland F Chris Wilcox (right pinkie fi...
2008 NBA Preview: #16 Washington Wizards
Offseason Movement: The Wizards big move this offseason was to re-sign Gilbert Arenas to a huge contract (six years, $111 million). By doing so, they were able to keep their core of Arenas, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison together. It was a risky signing for the team given all the problems he has had with his balky knee.

How about a All Star Celebrity Tour de USA???

Once when I was a youngster I arranged a Tour de Wenonah(my old home town in NJ), with some of my friends. I even created a yellow jersey from an old polo shirt my Dad had in his closet and drew logos on it in black magic marker, but now its fianally dawned on me. Lets have an All Star Celebrity Tour de USA.

On Bonds, Branding, & Democracy
Gilbert Arenas isn't the only one who thinks the Ecko publicity stunt with the Bonds 756 ball is hateful and dangerous. But he does put it eloquently. Is an internet vote really how we should decide the legacies of human beings? Why do so many people have no problem with making Barry Bonds the whipping boy for so many others who have actually tested positive, or who have condoned...
Week 5: Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Pickups
Antonio Daniels, Washington Wizards
Inexplicably, Daniels is still available in a lot of fantasy basketball leagues. If he's available in your league, pick him up. As long as Gilbert Arenas is out, he's going to put up very good fantasy numbers.
