Floyd Mayweather Jr. is known for having some of the most polarizing figures in the entertainment business accompany him to the ring before fights. Whether you love her or despise her, there is really no arguing that Miley Cyrus has perfected the art of creating a buzz. That’s why she makes perfect sense for The Money Team.

During a recent interview with Billboard, Mayweather spoke about some of his favorite musicians and how he chooses the artists who walk him out to the ring.

“When you’re the best, you only want to surround yourself with the best,” Mayweather explained. “(Bieber is) an exceptional artist. He’s the future.”

Apparently Floyd feels that Miley shares some of those characteristics with Bieber.

“I was thinking about letting the twerk queen, Miley Cyrus, bring me out,” he said enthusiastically. “Why not? We’ve gotta call her the twerk queen. Yes, we have to call her that.”

Unfortunately, he’s probably not joking. Mayweather is an expert at maximizing ratings and revenue for everything he does, hence why his Money Mayweather brand is unprecedented across sports. He'd look ridiculous having this nut job by his side as he prepares to defend his title, but that never stopped him before. Bieber looked completely out of place posing with Mayweather after Floyd beat Miguel Cotto, but he was invited back for the Canelo Alvarez fight. Don’t be surprised to see Miley next time.

  • Miley...seriously GIRL; have you NOT embarrased yourself enough? For once, can't you think of your family first???? They are involved by proxy. IE; I'm sure they were great parents, soooo, WHAT HAPPENED?
  • Miley has good handlers and I'm doubtful she will merge her brand to the brand of a convicted person.

Cyndi Lauper was a person with 10 times the talent and she linked herself to Capt. Lou Albano in pro wrestling.....her career nosedived. The good news is her talent ruled and MANY years later she showed the world she had immense talent

Miley has no talent...this could be a career killer

Pete Carroll: Seahawks fortunate to leave St. Louis with a win

The Seattle Seahawks extended their best start in franchise history with a 14-9 win against the St. Louis Rams on Monday night. The Seahawks defense came up big in the final plays of the game.  They stopped Daryl Richardson on third-and-goal and then caused Kellen Clemens to overthrow Brian Quick in the corner of the end zone on the final play to improve to 7-1 on the season....

Mets pitcher LaTroy Hawkins helps subdue unruly passenger on flight

At 40, LaTroy Hawkins is among the oldest active players in Major League Baseball. But as he proved Sunday night, he’s still not a guy you’d want to mess with. While on a flight to South America for a hunting trip, an altercation arose, and Hawkins and two friends sprang into action to subdue and restrain an “unruly passenger.” “We had to subdue a guy who was upset about...

Barkley: LeBron not in my all-time top five, probably never will be

LeBron James is already considered by many to be one of the greatest NBA players of all time. Should he win several more championships before his career ends, some would argue that LeBron is No. 1. Charles Barkley does not envision that happening. In a recent interview with SI.com’s Richard Deitsch, Barkley said he currently […]

So to hear a player of such high caliber say that he is no longer “obsessed” with winning, it’s a bit alarming. Audio of Dez's sideline rants revealed his positive messages

Dez Bryant‘s sideline outbursts during Sunday’s loss to the Lions led to the wide receiver taking a lot of heat for his actions, but as it turns out he was being less of a villain and more of a cheerleader. Albert Haynesworth may not just be a mound of ice cream and hot dogs — one of Haynesworth’s former teammates had some words about the defensive tackle that indicated he intentionally slacked off during his final seasons in the league. Former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley was on ESPN 980 with Steve Czaban and Al Gali when the trio got to talking about Gilbert Arenas‘ thoughts...
