In boxing these days, Twitter is everyone's go-to tool of choice. It's used for making fights, unleashing a torrent of rumors, trash talking and just about anything else that you can imagine. The latest Tweeting tussle has been between Oscar De La Hoya (a frequent boxing Twitter instigator it seems) and Nonito Donaire in regards to potentially making a fight against Abner Mares. De La Hoya began things by sending out this message: "@GoldenBoyBoxing will pay bob arum 3 million dollars so we can make @abnermares00 vs Donaire" This was after Richard Schaefer mentioned the $3 million offer in an interview earlier in the week. Donaire basically responded by saying he's waiting for the contract to be sent in writing, send it over and let's see. He then reTweeted a legion of his fans talking about how the offer was bogus, and how he'd destroy Abner Mares, and on down the line.
