The finish to the Marquette Butler basketball game might be the best finish you see all season. With the Bulldogs trailing 71-69 it was time for Butler’s Rotnei Clarke to shine. Off a Marquette miss free throw, Clarke got the rebound and he was getting the final shot he was not looking to pass. The transfer from Arkansas threw up a one handed shot as time expired to give the Bulldogs the one point lead. The other buzzer beater came from North Carolina’s PJ Hairston. This game was a blowout the Heels had a 46-17 lead right before half. Off a Bulldogs missed dunk Hairston got the rebound and made a ¾ full court shot at the buzzer. Hustle play of the night: Butler's Eric Fromm

Junior Eric Fromm isn't a star for Butler. But he's a valuable role player. Good teams have role players who buy in. Against UNC the 6-8 Fromm was summoned off the bench and had to guard 6-10 manchild Joel James. In his very first seconds on the floor he bought his team an extra possession which Rotnei Clarke was able to convert into a three.
