There appears to be some controversy surrounding the ending though as WKU coach Ken McDonald was furiously signaling for timeout but was not given one, mostly due, however, to his team throwing the ball in too quickly. Somewhere, Big Red is crying into his beer.
And much to the dismay of Duke haters everywhere, the Fightin' Scheyerfaces also survived and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen, pulling passed Texas in the last minute. They will go on to play Villanova next week.
